About Roses and Rosemary

Roses & Rosemary focuses on providing life-prolonging medication and support to children in Africa who have been affect by HIV/AIDS. They may be children with HIV/AIDS who were infected at birth by a positive parent, or they may simply be orphans of parents who died from the infection. In any case, they need support and healthcare services. Approximately $50 per month can support such a child, and your donation in any size can help.

Roses & Rosemary is based in the “cloud” and has almost no overhead. The present Board of Directors has many years experience in both business and charitable endeavors. Added to their work is that of a team of approximately 50 highly committed and professional volunteers. Both the Directors and the volunteers do personal fundraising, make donations themselves, and leverage professional abilities to raise money that can be put to use on the ground in Africa. Because it is lean, almost all of your contributions will find their way to those in needs. So despite our relatively small size, we have an impact where it matters, with the children!

Roses & Rosemary is a 501(c)(3) corporation, and donations to it are tax deductible.

We serve because of the direct and measurable effect of our work. The programs we support are audited, and we make sure funds are used to produce excellent results for children.

Why Roses & Rosemary?  Roses symbolize the support we give to HIV orphans in Africa. Rosemary is a symbol of medical care, and in Africa the plant is known for its medical properties. They are intertwined with the red ribbon used to symbolize AIDS.
